Rude and disrespectful buyers/sellers
Has anyone noticed the influx of rude, hostile, and/or disrespectful buyers and sellers has been increasing dramatically since the start of 2008? I've been trading in Kamadan, LA, and Kaineng for the past 3 or so months and prior to January 2008, people have been mostly nice in trading. I don't know why, but the past few weeks, there has been so many assholes whenever I make or take offers. The majority now are all pricks who instead of saying a simple "nty," want to verbally abuse you. I really wish the Ignore list wasn't limited to 10 names...

No really, I've had good experiences trading prior to January. But it just seems now, 75-80% of the people I trade with are extreme dickheads. It's making me really dislike trading when before, I enjoyed it a lot.
BTW, I hate it when people use guru forums and the PC section as a sad excuse to lowball or make crazy high price offers. Oh, and C/O means absolute crap in-game. Again, if you dislike offers, simply say "nty," or don't respond at all.

Yea same here. At OP, you can always try guru auctions. I've had more successful transactions there then in game or on the forum. No hassle at all

Yep true, it's mostly the last couple of weeks btw. I'm not even bothered to figure out why it is, but i hope the rumoured xunlai trading house might come to solve the problem though.
(use search for details pls)
@malice:don't we all?

Lets see... from what you wrote i suspect that...
"I've been trading in Kamadan, LA, and Kaineng for the past 3 or so months and prior to January 2008, people have been mostly nice in trading."
When ppl first start trading they usually trade cheaper items and ppl who buy/sell cheaper items are nicer because they are: a) new to the game; b) new to trading; c) not looking to gain huge profits; d) not reselling an item that they bought to resell.
"I don't know why, but the past few weeks, there has been so many assholes whenever I make or take offers."
Could this be because you have made some money with ur 3 months trading stint and now have moved on to medium class trading where ppl are desperate to: a) get a good deal; b) sqeeze as much profit as possible; c) look for a noob that they can take advantage of.
So you see the higher you go the more @$$ holes you meet. thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

I know what you're saying, but medium/high-end items aren't the only things I deal with. I also try to buy/sell "cheap" stuff. By your logic, the newbies buying/selling low-end items and are new to the game shouldn't be as rude as they are now, compared to the "vets" that's been trading prior to the 2007 holiday season. However, this doesn't seem to be the case, at least in my experience recently.

Yeah, I always say "ty" and "take care" after a successful transaction. And I always TRY to be respectful in trading. However, when people are rude and/or annoying, I return their attitude back to them. Then I follow it up with an Ignore.

I agree with Jetdoc. You can actual track when the "jerks" come into the game. More kiddies play on weekends. Furthermore, the amount of jerks and bad PUG players spikes at ~3:30 EST after school lets out and ends around ~10 PST pm at bed time. Generally PUGs and casual PvP like RA and AB will have the worst players at these peak times (if you are playing in American districts obviously). I generally avoid PvP in non-guild groups at any time after 4 pm and before 2 am.
The first few weeks of summer vacation and other national holidays are also pretty congested.

That's because a lot of those spamming derelicts are Americans just trying to feel big.
In Euro it's not much better, cept for the occasional nice guy. But yea lack of dicipline the homes cause online abuse and attacks. Majority rules (American)
Sorry but it's the truth.

This is very true... my FoW/UW groups made around 3:30-4:00 pm EST fail 95% of the time while groups I make at midnight usually succeed. I also noticed this trend in AB groups.. right around 4pm they are mostly hopeless and local chat (during the game) is filled with "noob", "1v1 me nub", etc. When I play later, around 11pm to 3am the groups I find myself in are more respectful and organised (meaning... the point is to win.. not "gank" as many people as possible).
